Requesting a new card
If you can no longer use your card because it has been lost, stolen or damaged, we’ll provide you with a new one. Remember to report theft or fraud to the police. If you need a new card because your current one is about to expire, you don’t need to do anything.
Card nearly expired: we’ll send a new one
You don’t need to do anything. When your card is about to expire, you’ll automatically receive a new one. This usually happens 4 to 6 weeks before the expiry date of your current card.
Card stolen: block and report
- Block your card immediately to prevent fraud: call +31 (0)20 - 660 06 11. You can reach our Loss & Theft department 24/7, also from outside the Netherlands.
- You can immediately request a new card through the Loss & Theft department. If you’re in the Netherlands, you’ll receive it within a few days. It will take a little longer to send it to other countries.
- Report the theft to the police as quickly as possible. If your card is stolen outside the Netherlands, report the theft in the country in which the card has been stolen.
Card lost: block, and report fraud
- Block your card immediately to prevent fraud: call +31 (0)20 - 660 06 11. You can reach our Loss & Theft department 24/7, also from outside the Netherlands.
- You can immediately request a new card via the Loss & Theft department. If you’re in the Netherlands, you’ll receive it within a few days. It will take a little longer to send it to other countries.
- If you notice that someone is using your lost card fraudulently, report it to the police immediately. If you are outside the Netherlands and lose your card, and then you notice it is being used fraudulently, report it to the police in the country concerned.
Card damaged: request a new card
If your card is damaged, for example, if the chip is no longer working, go to Creditcard Online and request a new card. You will receive your new card within a few days.

Card not returned by an ATM
If your card has been retained by an ATM, it could be because you haven’t paid your outstanding credit card balance on time. Please contact us, and we’ll take a look at what has happened.
