What is Click to Pay?

This new payment solution from Mastercard makes online payments even safer and easier. With Click to Pay, you no longer need to enter a credit card number, expiry date or CVC code at checkout. Instead, your details are retrieved from a secure profile with Mastercard.

How to activate Click to Pay

  1. Open the app, go to 'Card' and select 'Click to Pay'
  2. Check your name, address and contact details
  3. Accept the Terms and Conditions, and you’re ready!

Note: you need app version 7.7.1 to activate Click to Pay.

How to pay with Click to Pay

  1. Choose Click to Pay when you check out in an online shop. Look for the Click to Pay logo.
  2. Enter your email address or mobile number registered with ICS, so your Click to Pay profile can be recognised.
  3. If requested, enter the verification code sent to you by SMS or email. This verifies your identity.
  4. If requested, confirm your payment via the app or with your 3D Secure password.

Mastercard never shares your credit card details with the online shop. The shop only receives a temporary, replacement code. This reduces the risk of fraud or stolen credit card details.
