Emergency Card and Emergency Cash while travelling on business

Visa's Emergency Card and Emergency Cash services are only available if you are abroad. Has your credit card been lost or stolen in the Netherlands? Report this to ICS and request a replacement credit card.

You cannot request an Emergency Card or Emergency Cash if you accidentally took an expired credit card with you on your business trip, or if you forgot your credit card at home.

You can only request an Emergency Card or Emergency Cash if you are the Cardholder of the lost, stolen or damaged credit card.

The Emergency Card is intended for business use and has the same spending limit as your original credit card.

These are countries with sanctions at the moment:

• Cuba
• Iran
• Ukraine
• North Korea
• Syria
• Russia
• Venezuela
• Belarus

The amount of Emergency Cash available depends on the remaining balance within your company limit and Card limit. Please ensure that you have enough limit available and that there are no restrictions on cash withdrawals from your credit card.

Do you have a business Card for starting businesses? Unfortunately, you can't withdraw cash, which means that the Emergency Cash service is not available to you.

If you request Emergency Cash, Visa will charge a 4% cash withdrawal fee. This is the same as cash withdrawals from an ATM. A 2.5% exchange rate surcharge will also be charged. As a result, the amount shown on your statement may differ from the amount of Emergency Cash you receive.

Requesting an Emergency Card is only possible if you will stay abroad for at least another 5 days. Your credit card must also remain valid for at least the following 5 days, even if you have already cancelled it.

Some companies do not allow their employees to make cash withdrawals. Some have also blocked payments abroad. In these cases, you cannot request an Emergency Card or Emergency Cash.

The Emergency Card is a temporary service. Once you return from your business trip, or if you have been using the Emergency Card for 2 months, cut through the chip, throw it away and start using your replacement credit card.
