FAQ's

How do I know this message is really from ICS?

It is good to be vigilant about fake messages. Read more about recognising and reporting fake emails. If you have any doubts, please call us on +31 (0)20 – 6 600 666 between 8.00 and 18.00.

Why do you need my annual accounts?

We use the annual accounts to check whether your limit suits your company's financial situation. Previously, we were not able to do this, because your company had been registered at the Chamber of Commerce (KVK) for less than two years and no annual accounts were available. For that reason, your application was approved under special conditions for starting businesses. One of these was a limit of € 500. By now, your company has been registered for more than two years. Therefore, we are asking for your annual accounts.

From which year do you need my annual accounts?

We are asking you for two financial years. The previous year and the one before. These should not be older than 18 months.

Until when can I send in my annual accounts?

You can find this in the message we sent you. This contains the last possible date to send us your accounts.

I cannot send in my annual accounts on time. What will happen?

Without your accounts, we are unable to assess whether your limit suits your company's financial situation. Unfortunately, this means we will have to cancel our agreement with your company. Article 2.2 of our General Terms and Conditions allows us to do this. You can still use your credit cards until the date in the message about the cancellation.

When will you cancel my credit card?

We will cancel your credit card if you do not send us your annual accounts. Or if you send them too late, or if the outcome of our assessment is negative. Before we cancel your credit card, we will send you a message about the cancellation of the agreement. In this message you will see until which date you can still use your credit card.

Why is my credit card not working?

Unfortunately, we had to end our agreement with your company because the outcome of the credit check was negative. Or because we have not received your annual accounts on time. You have received a message about the cancellation of the agreement. In this message you will find the date until which you could use your credit card.

When I applied for a credit card, you did not ask for annual accounts. Why is it necessary now?

When you applied for a credit card, your company had been registered at the Chamber of Commerce for less than two years. Therefore, your application was approved under special conditions for starting businesses. One of these was a limit of € 500. Since your company has now been registered for more than two years, we have to carry out a credit check based on your annual accounts.

I have already sent ICS my annual accounts. Can you confirm this?

When you send your annual accounts to kredietrevisie@icscards.nl, you will receive an automatic confirmation email. Sometimes emails from ICS may end up in your spam. If you have not received the confirmation email, please check your spam folder.

What happens to my credit card if the outcome of the assessment is negative?

In that case, we cannot give you a limit. This means that unfortunately we have to cancel our agreement with your company. Article 2.2 of our General Terms and Conditions allows us to do this. You will receive a message about the cancellation of the agreement. In this message you will see until which date you can still use your credit card.

Because I have a company with joint and several liability (a sole proprietorship or (commercial or limited) partnership) we do not have annual accounts. What can I send you?

As a company, you are required to file a tax return with the Tax and Customs Administration in the Netherlands (de Belastingdienst). You are using documents that meet their requirements, such as a balance sheet and profit and loss account. You can send your tax return with these documents instead of annual accounts to kredietrevisie@icscards.nl.

I have a tax deferral agreement with the Tax and Customs Administration (de Belastingdienst). Can I get a deferral from ICS, too?

No, a deferral from the Tax and Customs Administration is unrelated to ICS' requirements for issuing a limit. The Tax and Customs Administration has its own considerations when giving deferrals. When we issue a limit, we have to comply with laws and regulations. This means we have to assess whether your current limit suits your company's financial situation. We can only do this based on the annual accounts you send us.
