Pay with your ICS Mastercard Gold and Google Pay™

Google needs several types of personal data to add your credit card to Google Wallet. Google needs:

• Your name
• Your address details
• Your phone number

You already shared this information with us when you became our customer. Google compares these details with your Google account to prevent misuse and to confirm that you are the Cardholder. This means that you need a Google account to activate Google Pay. We will only share your personal data with Google once you have accepted Google's terms and conditions.

If you activate Google Pay, Google is responsible for the way they use your data and Google's privacy policy applies. You can always change your Google Pay privacy preferences via the Google Privacy Check.

Aside from your personal data, Google receives the data needed to make payments when you use Google Pay. Google also displays transaction details, such as the price, date, time and shop or app name, in Google Wallet. Details that Google needs are:

• The payment amount
• The date and time of the payment
• The shop or app name

Google also receives technical details about your payment. They need this to process your payment and to keep their service running smoothly.

No, Google only processes payments that you make via Google Pay. Google doesn't have access to payments that you make with your physical credit card.

• To show your payment overview in Google Wallet
• To prevent misuse and fraud
• To analyse and improve Google Pay, and keep it running smoothly

Google is responsible for processing your data and for the terms and conditions that apply. This means that Google decides which data to process and why. You can manage your settings in Google. ICS only shares the data with Google that is needed to make Google Pay available. We don't have access to your Google account.

When you make a payment via Google Pay, Google does not directly receive your credit card details. They are replaced with a secure code. This way, your credit card details remain hidden and Google can’t see them.

Yes, you can remove your credit card from Google Wallet at any time. Of course, you will still have your physical credit card, which you can pay with as usual.

In shops: you can pay with Google Pay in shops where credit cards are accepted, and you see the Google Pay and contactless payment symbols:
